There are no 64GB SE's available at any of the 5 Phoenix metro area Apple stores. I've been told that most of the stock has been 16GB phones and that the stores don't know in advance what is headed their way from Apple.

I thought about ordering a phone but AT&T will only let Apple ship to the address on AT&T's account so delivery to the store isn't possible and we are not home during the day to sign for the package.

Based on past iPhone releases, how long does it take the stores to beef up their inventory? I know availability also depends on demand for the phone ... I'm guessing it isn't a huge number.

I was in an Apple store this morning - is it usual for employees on the floor to have zero info on deliveries of stock, both past and present?

Me: do you have any stock of any model of the iPhone SE?
Genius: no
Me: do you know when you might be getting stock in?
Genius: no
Me: OK, if you had to guess, based on previous iphone releases, when would you hazard a guess for stock replenishing?
Genius: i don't know
Me: what days of the week does a vehicle turn up with any stock of any kind for the store?
Genius: i don't know

LOL

My store gets morning deliveries 6 days a week ....

I think usually it's about 2 months before you can easily walk in and find any capacity and color combo. That being said I can see that not being the case for the SE. Id give it 2 weeks.

I also was told that the 'available for store pickup' link on the Apple site order page would say 'unavailable' unless there were at least 3 or 4 phones at the location.

in the twin cities pretty much every store has had every size in every color from launch...no stock issues here.

What's interesting is that I've seen twice now the Apple Store app tell me that my Apple Store had availability, and I ended up being told that they didn't. They told me not to trust the app but to call in to double check before coming.

Call a store in they can check stock in different locations and even reserve one for you for pick up. 64gb is most likely out of stock in most locations.

I was told more than once that the Apple Store is not allowed to reserve phones for anyone. It's first come first serve. The only way you can guarantee that you have one is to pay full price online and select pick up at store.

Yes I think most stores are completely sold out of 64gb models. I'm returning one for a yellow screen and I can't find any in stock.
