Seems like a new batch has been delivered to the east coast apple stores

Yeah for less than 24 hrs! ::cries::

This afternoon my local Apple Store showed all 4 colors in 64GB. When I came home at midnight...

SOLD OUT AGAIN!!!!!!!

We have not any leaks or rumors of this new 4" iPhone, so i doubt we will see anything in September, but 2017? Good bet.
I wouldnt expect a new 4" phone this fall. I would think this one gets updated mid 2017 or late 2017, in the new style.

Went to my local BB, they have Rose Gold & Space Grey 64GB but I went right when the store opened. That's your best bet.

I cant believe after this long the SE is still on a 2-3 weeks despatch time in the UK, thats a 3-4 week delivery by the time it gets from China. Is this because it is selling like hot cakes or because Apple have just sold a few more than expected and didn't have the supply chain in place for a higher demand. Or could it be that they are trying to sort all the build quality problems out, i have owned two now and sent both of them back for various quality problems and decided to stick with my 6s for now even though i don't really like it that much, but i am not prepared to but up with the cheapness of the SE. I am hoping they are sorting the build quality problems out then i can buy another one.

What kind of problems with those two SE did you have?

Rather than type everything out again, the is a copy of a post i made in another thread explaining why i returned them.

Had two SE's now and sent both of them back.

The first one had the rattling power button and quite a bad yellow band across the top of the screen, the home button was a bit clicky and cheap feeling as well but i could live with that, it was the yellow band that bothered me the most, so i sent it back and ordered another one hoping it would be of better quality as it would be newer stock, the first one was a launch day phone.

The second one turned out to be worse, the yellow band across the top of the screen was still there but was only slight and hardly noticeable so i could have quite easily lived with that. But the power button was even worse and it also had a terrible rattle coming from the camera lens as well that the first one didn't have, add the home button rattle and the camera lens rattle together and this thing was like a rattle snake. But what was even worse was it had an amazingly loud home button as well, every time i pressed it it felt like is was going to break. This thing just felt so cheap it was unreal, i cant believe Apple can release such cheap garbage to the market place. This is not why i started buying Apple products about twelve years ago, i started buying them because if their high build quality and attention to detail which made them very desirable, this has totally gone out of the window with the SE.

I am going to go back to using my 6s, luckily i didn't sell it straight away after getting the SE, i hung on to it just in case and i am glad i did now. I do prefer the smaller size of the SE, but i cant put up with the appalling build quality. In hindsight i probably should have kept the first SE, i didn't think the second one would be worse. I might try another one in a few months if i hear reports that Apple have improved the bull quality.

Apple did a good job of putting a lot of the latest 6s specifications into the SE, but they have just cut costs in too many other areas, my 5s never had any of these problems.

Just for the record i think both of the SE's i had were from totally different factories as the serial numbers were totally different.

First SE = F17RCONKH2XN

Second SE = C39RLOAPH2XN, this one had appalling build quality

All the SE's i have checked out in the shops while checking to see if they are all of poor build quality, all begin with F17 or F18, never seen another one beginning with C39.

Apple really need to get their act together and start producing high quality products again like my 12" rMB.

I wouldn't either. Curious about pricing though. If they drop the 6s to $550 I think this phone will be less enticing (to those going for value over screen size or pocket ability). My gut tells me pricing won't change, or maybe Apple gets rid of the 16gb SE and offers 64 for the entry price. but we will see.

I dont think this device is selling purely on price. Its also selling on size and I dont think it would be any less of a viable product even if Iphone 6S price goes down. But I would think that with such a strong device in 4" size, there would be no reason for Apple to keep around the 6S or 6S around at all, once the iphone 7 comes out in the end of this year.

I don't disagree. But I think there are certainly people buying based on price. The price is just too damn good. I'm curious how far the intertidal will last. If people have been waiting for a smaller phone from Apple they finally got it after 2.5 years. Will the phone keep selling? We shall see

The price is almost too good to be true especially from Apple...

However idk that they completely thought it through all the way...

With the option of an SE with 6s specs for $399 or an iPhone 6 with year old specs for $549 and the only difference is .7" to the screen?

Of course besides the SE having much better specs than the 6..

I'd say most people go with the SE... I just finally found the SE in stock and picked one up myself along with my 6s and 6s Plus... I've been using the SE for a few days now and don't know if I'm going back until the fall

I would not expect this model to be changed until 2018, new colours or more memory notwithstanding.
