What do y'all think Apple will do with the 4" iPhone coming out soon? 1136 x 640 or do they go 1334 x 750 like the 6 and 6s?

Also, do y'all think the new 9.7" iPad will have the Pro's display resolution of 2732 x 2048?

I would love to say it has the same resolution as the 6(s) but that doesn't make a lot of sense for Apple to do that with this device.

If I were a betting man it will have the same acreen resolution as the 5s. Heck it might even be the same screens.

Same terrible 5s screens I bet. Whoever they got to do 5s screens did a terrible job. Yes, there are some perfectly wonderful screens (my wifey has one), but of three 5s' phones I've worked with, they have the faint grey vertical lines.

I could see Apple making the SE 720p (not quite the 750p the 4.7" phone has) I also could see the 4.7" getting updated to 1080p for the iPhone 7. The 7+ will either stay at 1080p or it might get bumped to 1250p just so that it doesn't have to render that res and get downscaled to 1080p like it has been doing in the 6+ and 6s+.

I Don't think the new 9.7" Air 3 or Pro (whatever they call it) will get the same res as the 12.9" Pro.

Yeah if they increase it would be 1280x720, lower then 6s but still improvement, however ppi will be higher on the se then, or maybe they wont mention that if it turns out it has a 720p panel.

I would bet for the same resolution as the iPhone 5/5s but with the display upgrades from the iPhone 6/6s (brightness, contrast ratio, etc.).

That would make it be on-par with the iPhone 6/6s, since they would both be the same PPI.

I'd be surprised if we don't see 720p at this point unless the price point is incredibly low. Then again I'm also surprised were still shipping phones with a base of 16gb storage. What do I know?

I would love if it if Apple went 1334x750 on the se. But would've also love to see a screen increase to 4.2 inch though.
Knowing Apple , this won' t happen.
Would love a 5s with updated internals, and a slight display size and res increase in the same unibody size as the 5/s.

But that would steal sales from the 4.7 inch iPhone 6/s, so will never happen if the se is a lower priced product than the reg iPhone 6.

So 2 choices, release a cheaper iPhone SE with newer hw(except the screen).

Or release a high end se, with bigger screen, higher res, ,discontinue the 6 and release it at the current iPhone 6 price.

I think it will be the first choice(unfortunately)

The display on the 5 and 5s wasn't too bad in my opinion. They were high quality IPS LCD displays. I think 325 ppi on a 4" display is a little small and it would be nice to see a 1334 X 750 panel in the new 4" iPhone and then a bump up to 1920 X 1080 in the 4.7" iPhone. Leave the 7 Plus at 1920 X 1080 as well. 1334 X 750 in the 4" iPhone would be 382 ppi which would be a significant boost I think.

I'd like it to be 750P to maintain the aspect ratio while slightly increase PPI, but I won't bet on it.
I still can't exactly place this iPhone....

certainly cant be worse than this bleeding screen of my old iPhone

iPhone se: 1335x750 at 4 inch( but I guess it will stay at 1136x640 :( )
iPhone 7: 1920x1080 or 2001x1125(please no :1704x960) at 4.7
iPhone 7+: 2208x1242 at 5.2
iPhone 7 pro: 2560x1440 at 5.8

Yes they can. No way Apple will give flying f**** about screen quality of SE if the 5s had s*** screens.

If they bump up the res to 1280x720, and then in the summer/autumn, they bump up the 4.7 to 1440x900, the ppi will roughly be the same i think. Maybe then they can do this.
