anyone have this happen to their SE? There are these marks that have appeared on the aluminum.

It's been in a case since I got it. I wonder if Apple would replace it. It's just cosmetic, but it's annoying and didn't happen on my 5S.

Apple does not replace for cosmetic issues.

Cases, contrary to popular opinion, do not protect and insulate from all issues.

Thanks. I didn't think they would, but I was curious if anyone else had this happen to their SE.

No serious dents and marks on my my rose gold SE. However, I've noticed tiny scratches on the side of my SE upon super close inspection which lead me to think the metal on the aluminum casing must be real thin.

I have a case on mine, so there's no staining, scratches or other marks on it. I would recommend this, even if apple doesn't replace the phone - that way it will hide those defects.

I really can't figure out how those marks got there. It's in my distillunion walley case, and like I said, it didn't happen to my 5S when it was in the case. The only thing I can think of is it rubbed the finish in certain stops in my pocket. Still it's weird that it didn't happen to my 5S. It's definitely not figure marks.

You might get lucky taking it into a Genius Bar, why not give it a shot if you live close to a store? I remember back in the day I had the top case of a MacBook replaced for free for discoloration, and an iPad replaced because the screen was not uniformly tinted. Apple tends to be more lenient when it comes to cosmetic problems and they *might* fix it for you.

Yeah, I'll try to bring it over to an Apple Store. What do I have to lose, I guess. Although, if no one here has this problem maybe it's from the case.
