Still looks like far too big a phone for many of us!

How will its actual physical dimensions compare to those of the iPhone SE 2022 — or, of more importance, at least to many of us, to those of the iPhone SE 2016?

I have big hands, but the modern slab iPhones are simply too big and uncomfortable to hold. The iPhone SE 2016 remains the perfect size. Give me a physical home button every day of the week!
I took out and turned on my iPhone 2G yesterday. Now even for a small phone fan like me, that’s too small… but damn if it didn’t feel amazing in the hand compared to my 16 pro.

It's usable but there is noticeable lag. It is no where near as responsive as it was when new.

The trick with these older devices is to stick with a solid version of iOS that you know performs well, not just blindly upgrade to the latest one.

Expecting it by March/April. Hope the new model has more colour choices. I think Apple might increase the price to $449 or even $499.

If it's boring black and white, count me out. I might upgrade to a cheap, far superior android.
The absence of an action button is the last straw.

I DO NOT WANT a side-switch on my next phone. That thing has me losing notifications and missing calls, INCLUDING medication.

I love to miss my PrEP because of that ******, voluntary design flaw.

Maybe the iPhone 17 air will be for you.

Considering an SE3 for an elderly family member who is a VERY light user and currently has an iPhone 7. Thinking the transition to SE3 would be easier for them. Would the battery on a new SE3 purchased from Apple be ok? Assume that current inventory is older with the new SE rumored to be coming soon so wasn't sure if the battery would still be ok if older, but never used. Thank you.

I have two older relatives on SE3 and the key to the whole thing working for them is...

The Home Button

The thing Apple is now removing

I think the SE3 will be their last iPhone ..... perhaps their last phones, period, as long as they keep working with the cell networks

I wish Apple cared about catering to accessibility (beyond software tweaks)
That physical home button is a LIFESAVER for older folks

Battery will be perfectly fine, even if the manufacturing date has been a while.
