IPhone SE Notification Issues

I use a lot of chat apps on my IPhone SE. I use skype, hangouts, wechat, whatsapp, facetime etc.

I do not know why but I do not get any ringing notification at all for any of these. I had checked my notifications and it appears that it is on for each one.

Can someone tell me why im having these issues? I want to have a ringing sound for everything except messages which i would like to get a note sound etc.

Hi there. There are sound issues as well.

This is what i like. Any phone calls i receive, i want there to be a ringing sound. Any chat notifications, i want a notification sound. The thing is if someone sends me a message, the only way i would know it is if im looking at my iphone at the time. There should be a ringing sound when a message is sent but i dont know why there isn't.

So i know it has to be my settings. But my settings when i looked at it, there doesn't seem to be any issues though.

As of now, i do receive a sound notification when facetime.


Basically wechat and whatsapp there are no sounds to notify me at all.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Hey all so im still having these issues.


I will explain a few things again. Programs like whatsapp, many times i do not get notification. Sometimes i do.. many times i don't.


I also downloaded some apps from app store. I set some notifications on it... but none of them show etc. I went to notifications, then clicked on the program, i have


allow notifications
show in notification center
sounds
badge app icon
show on lock screen


All these are turned on


The alert style when unlocked is

Banners


So why am i have these issues? Whatsapp and skype and my other programs many times do not get a sound or notification. Its like sometimes i get it... many times i do not.

If your sound button is turned off you will not get the sound alert. I know it sounds simple, but have you checked to make sure this is turned on?

If you mean the ringer... yes its turned on.

yes i updated it. I still have the same issues.


Facetime i dont even get notification sometimes.


On wechat, i dont get any alerts

Reset all settings? Perhaps reinstall?

Resetting settings (not content) doesn't change your data. Reinstalling can also preserve data if you make a backup that you then restore from.

So far everytime i got get a message on whatsapp or wechat... it doesn't seem to be there. Everytime i get a message on wechat, sometimes it makes a vibrate sound... other times it doesn't.

With whatsapp, when i receive a message, it does not ever seem to send me a vibrating sound. However if i were to receive a call on whatsapp... the strange thing is the first call to me it does not make a sound. On the next call, it does. Meaning you have to call me twice in a row in whatsapp but it does vibrate my phone.

On skype i do recall i make my notifications with no sound so i dont think there is an issue with skype. But wechat and whatsapp are my issues here.

For each app there’s a listing called show previews should be set the default you have to scroll down to find it again that’s the notifications for each app
