Touch around the edge of display takes significantly more touch input to register around the edges especially the corners.
Is this normal? Sometimes the corners don't respond at all and requires multi taps to register. Centre of display responds to light touches, just the edges require more force.

I believe this youtuber is having the same issues

It should be cos I bought it as new from a seller who claimed to be brand new replacement from apple. Even had the receipt as proof with matching serial number.

Heck, some people buy an iPhone from the Apple Store just to swap out the OEM display with a non-OEM part.

A repair shop should be able to open it up and tell you in under a minute.

It’s a problem since iOS 13. I have this on my SE and also experienced this on a brand new iPhone 11 i setup for my father today. It’s when something in background is working, that’s why it happens sometimes and sometimes not.

Must be OS related, not the apps one uses or what settings are set. Like i said, it happens on brand new phones with fresh install too.

This. I can’t seem to find it, but there was a previous thread discussing this very same issue when iOS 13 launched specifically affecting the iPhone SE touch responsiveness being affected on certain quadrants of the display. But yes, it’s likely surrounding the iOS version versus a hardware fault, but, this could easily be misconstrued for a hardware fault, being they can pose the same type of tendencies as indicated in the video above.

All good. It turned out it was the case that was giving me unresponsive touch around the edges. Life proof case no more
