iPhone SE 2 seem to have different slightly weaker vibrations pattern while in silent mode. On 5S, the entire phone basically vibrates and the vibrations sound is noticeable from a distance, whereas the SE 2 doesn't vibrate as 5S, it seems to have certain pattern depending on the ringtone and also very weak.
Has anyone else with SE 2 noticed this? Just wanted to check if it's an issue with the taptic engine or that's how it is by design.

I have. My 6 had more noticeable vibrations. I’ve missed a couple of texts because of this. Minor issue but I always have my phone on silent. Was wondering if it was the case dampening vibrations but probably not.

That's because the 6 and older have an the old style vibration motor which were noisy and could physically cause the phone to vibrate off a table. The 6s and newer (excluding the original SE) have a haptic engine, which is designed so that you can clearly feel it vibrate while it is in your pocket, but it is meant to be much, much quieter (i.e. so the phone is actually silent when in silent mode). If you need to hear the phone I would suggest turning the ringer volume on. Vibration patterns can also be changed in settings.
