Hey all,

I just got my new unlocked iPhone and absolutely love it.

I work sales and would love for my iPhone to have internet/intranet access. My laptop sits nearby, and so I should theoretically be able to share it's ethernet internet connection via wireless.

So, I shared out the ethernet internet to computers using airport and created a wireless network. Then, I used my iPhone to connect to that wireless network. The iPhone connects, but does not seem to have any internet access. FYI, I disabled my software firewall (Little Snitch). Of course, the iPhone works perfectly with my home wireless network.

Has anyone been able to successfully do this?

For me I have to setup static IP's on my Airport connection and on my iPhone in order to get it to work. Using the default DHCP settings does not work for me.

For example (this is from memory so might be wrong):

On the airport I have:

IP: 192.168.0.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Router: 192.168.0.1

And on the iPhone I set it to 192.168.0.2, subnet 255.255.255.0 and if there is a place for DNS server I punch in 192.168.0.1. I think that's what I did, you might need to play around with the settings.
