    Hi everyone,

I'M IN DIRE NEED OF HELP. The title only begins to explain my problems. As this is going to be a long one, it is structured as follows:
    1) symptoms of the problem
    2) steps to resolve problem
    3) specifications, phone type and iOS version, and background

    1) SYMPTOMS
    a) It all started yesterday when my phone was at 25% and it shut down by itself even when I wasn't using it. I hadn't realised until I fished it out of my pocket.

    b) Then trouble really started. It shut down whenever I activated wi-fi, the camera, flashlight, or sometimes even whatsapp and this is while batt life is at >40%.

    c) As if that wasn't enough, the phone starts heating up tremendously even after 2-3 minutes of use (this is after leaving it off the whole night and rebooting the next day). Subsequently, it could no longer connect to the network - it's either searching or no network at all.

    d) The battery started draining really fast - 2% per minute even without any apps running. NOW, it drains even WHILE CHARGING.

    2) Action Steps to Resolve
    a) I am charging the phone with a genuine apple phone charger, not iPad charger and no 3rd party charger

    b) I have rebooted the phone countless times, both soft and hard reset, no luck

    c) I have only two applications running - phone and message at all times to prevent extra drainage

    d) I have restored the phone to it's original state - wiped it clean.
** This seemed to resolve the network issue, I could connect and make calls, but everything else remained a problem. The minute I restored from backup, the network went away.

    e) I have done a full cycle charge also with no luck

    3) Specifications and background
    a) I am using a 1.5 year old iPhone 4S 64GB, running on iOS 7.0.4. and have been using iOS7 for more than a month without any issues.
    b) I full cycle charge twice a month. I do not charge overnight
    c) I leave at least 7-8GB free on the phone at all times
    d) The phone is well taken care of, no drops, cracks, scratches etc.
    e) I did not install anything new when the problem started

I would appreciate any help at all as there is no apple store where I live and hence I cannot walk in to a shop for support.

    Many thanks in advance!
