So I have had the Samsung S5 and the signal strength is great where I live, I just purchased the iPhone 6 and the strength is bad! I have LTE with the S5, 4G with the iPhone 6.

What gives? Can the iPhone 6 be that bad reception wise?

Both phones on tmobile at the same exact location?
I know signal can vary by phone though.
Different design, different antennas used, tech, software, maybe even different signal bar strength displayed etc...

Yep, same location, same service. Was really shocked to be honest.

Is your data plan provisioned for LTE use?
Also when you say it gets LTE at your house is it full bars LTE or 1-2 if that?
If signal is very weak it will tend to stay on HSPA+ probably.

Data is provisioned as I get it other places. I get zero LTE with this phone. My iPad air gets LTE through t-mobile at my house

I would check how your data plan is configured.

O2 had to change me on to a specific iPhone data plan. Probably because of visual voicemail and such.
