Yes the IPSF software. Right now the only problem is with a serial number. The guys over at hackint0sh is working on it.

I tried attaching the simfree.zip but I can only upload ~200kb and the file is 800kb

how do u install this?

Install Installer.app, and download the BSD Subsystem and OpenSSH from it. Then, follow this guide. The SSH login is root and the password is dottie. You then drag the iPhoneSIMFree software into the Applications folder on the phone. You may also want to install Community Sources and rSBT through Installer.app so that you can put the iPhoneSIMFree app on your home screen.

I used http://iphoneworldwideunlock.com/ and I just unlocked my iPhone. It actually worked perfectly and was super easy! I'm now using my iPhone in Australia on the Teltra network! I've also tested the iPhone with Optus, Vodafone and Virgin and they all worked too! Wi-Fi, YouTube and all those features are also still functional!

I might want to buy the refurb one, and wait till a perfect working unlocking software..
In the meantime, without unlock = you can do nothing with the iphone??
