I am thinking about getting the smart battery case for my iPhone 6s. I wouldn't be using it all the time, I would only use it when I would need it if I needed some juice and had to go somewhere where I wouldn't be able to plug my phone in. Right now I have a thick otter box type case on my phone and kind of wondering about protection also with that case. Just looking to get some thoughts on the smart battery case from people that use it.

It's definitely worth it. I used it on my 6s the same way you described it. Great for weekend getaways especially.

I have the 7 Plus now and I'm actually selling my black one. It's like new condition. Pm me if interested. I'll give you a better deal than buying it new at a store.

Ps. Protection is decent. Not an otter box but a good sense of security for sure.

Do you think it offers much screen protection? I have external batteries that I use once in a while but taking them along with a cord is a pain to use. Sometimes on the weekends I forget to charge my phone so it would be nice just to put a fully charged case on it and forgetting about it. Does the silicone on the case hold up over time? I've read reviews of the material falling apart on the edges. You said you have the 7 plus, what do you think of the size compared to the regular sized iPhones? For my next iPhone, I'm thinking of getting the plus just for the battery life and the bigger screen. I currently have an iPad Air 2 that I never use at all anymore and would probably get rid of it completely and have a bigger phone. I also have a 13 inch MacBook Pro and am thinking when I buy new devices, I might just go with a maxed out 15 inch MacBook Pro, get the biggest iPhone I can get with the most storage and get an Apple TV (which I already have) and have those as my 3 main devices.

I'd say it offers a bit of screen protection, to the point where you can set the phone face down and not have to worry. The hump on the back actually makes the phone easier to carry, imo.

It's a pick your poison with the larger/smaller phone. I absolutely love the battery life of my 7 Plus, and I got the red one which is the most gorgeous phone I've ever owned. With that said, I miss the form factor of the 6s. So easy to use with one hand. I fumble a lot with my Plus. So it's all about what's important to you. Keep in mind, with the 6s and battery case, you'll get better battery life than the Plus without the case.

One last question, do you think the case is slippery at all during day to day use?

No. Just like the oem silicone case, it adds grip. Very hard to drop. The back hump helps too.
Ok. I once tried the leather case for my 6s and it was very slippery so I returned it. Just wanted to know if it was as slippery as the leather case.

Does anybody else own the case and have any thoughts/ opinions on it?

I had it for a week then returned it, I got the red one and didn't really need it (impulse buy). It did work exactly as expected though, it's a silicone case with a built in battery, what more needs explaining? :p

I have a Spigen one, which I think is one of their slimmest but it's thick af and not very good. The material is awful and because it's plastic, it scratched my phone. I would love to get an Apple Battery case.

I think it’s decent. Shame you can’t turn the charge off until you need it. I bought a used one for £30, but not sure if I would pay £100 as I don’t use it that often.

Definitely get one. It was a necessity when I had my 6S. People complain about not having an on switch like the 3rd party ones. But the smart battery case just works. It’s simple.

Also. Best Buy has open box ones. You can save almost $20 that way.
