I have an iPhone 3G and have been having a lot of trouble with my smart playlists recently.

I have smart playlists for top 25 most played, top 50 most played, recently added etc. on my iTunes and they contain all the songs I want. When i connect my iphone, which is synced to my itunes, to my computer and click on the playlists in the drop down menu, it also has the songs I want in the playlist.

However, and this is the main problem, the songs that are on the iPhone playlists don't correspond to the ones on my iTunes and seem to be a random assortment of songs. The songs in my 'top 25 most played' are ones that I have never listened to before and the recently added songs were added years ago....

Help!
