Iphone Speaker not working

Dear Friends,
Am having an Iphone 4s which was bought from US and using in Bangalore, India. I bought this 2-3 months back.
Last day i was attending a call and was using speaker phone. The call went on for almost an hour and after 20-30 minutes, speaker stopped working.
When I went to an authorised Apple Service Centre, I came to know that they cannot service Iphone which is bought from US.
Please advice me if I have any other option other than sending the phone back to US for servicing? 😕
