Is there a stand for iPhone 3G(s) that's made for use on a plane?
On my last flights ive just been using a full bottle (has to be full to keep it standing), but it would be nice to actually drink something on the flight as well

That moviewedge looks just perfect. Won't get it in time for my flight this sunday though. But i'll order it for my next trip, and just make a binder clip stand for this one.

The merchant selling that thing through amazon wants around 15NOK for the stand, plus 220NOK for shipping the damn thing throug standard shipping:eek:

Movie Wedge is the best. Small and light and it works. Perfect for planes and works well in bed, and on the desk as a holder.

Agreed. Does exactly what OlgaJ says. Highly recommended.

You might want to get a couple of them because my friend guilted me into "lending" him mine for a trip he was taking and I never saw it again...until, of course, I went to his place and saw his iPhone sitting on it. LOL.

Cheap solution...

My suggestion ends up looking like a business card holder, but it's much cheaper. And I didn't invent it, I found the solution online.

Take a thick plastic card (e.g. hotel key, club card, expired credit card, etc). You can fold it up to look like the business card holder in the post above. Two folds: One about 1/3 of the way from the top (1 1/4"), the other about 1/2" from the bottom (card held vertically). The two get folded in opposite directions.

Voila, instant iPhone holder. The best part is that you can lay it basically flat when you're done, making storage much easier.

I travel quite a bit for work. I have been using the same hotel key for at least 6 months. Refolding it every time I use it hasn't worn it out yet.

Hope this helps!

I'm gonna hack-up a binder clip stand like in the Instructables link when I'm at work tomorrow! Great idea, and low-cost or free if you have office supplies you can pirate.

I use Just Mobile's Xtand!

It's awesome!!! (Easily rotate to landscape and portrait). I got mines off of eBay a while back but you can also purchase it directly from http://www.xtand.net/

I just got a moviewedge as well - nice and light so it's easy to throw in your carry-on. Works great too.

Caution!!

I just want to add that the Moviewedge stained my Sunburst Yellow Feather case and it won't rub off... (I just noticed because, I was using other cases.)

It doesn't bother me much at the moment but, here's warning for those who it might... :/
