I've got this strange email issue on my iPhone that has been going on for a while and can't seem to get to the bottom of.

I have 4 email accounts on my iPhone, 3 of them work fine, one does not. The problematic account is a Hotmail account.

This account probably recieves 10-15 emails a day. Of those emails 95% are recieved on my iPhone, the reamining 5% are not. If I log into my Hotmail account online the emails are sitting there in the inbox showing as unread. If I search within my iPhone inbox it finds them, if I cancel search then they are gone. They are not in any special folders/junk, just the standard inbox. There is no consitency to it, always different emails from different people.

I have push turned on, syncing a months worth of emails, have removed and readded the acccount, have reset all network settings. Nothing seems to work.

If anyone has any advice or suggestions it owuld be greatly appreciated.

live.com used to have issues as well, particularly it had problems with passwords. Didn't like the fact that my Mail app was fetching mail every 15 minutes so it had a habit of locking out my passwords and forcing me to create new ones even though they worked whenever I logged in using a computer.

I have a lot of email addresses and this was never a primary one so I told Microsoft to close it. Just wasn't worth the hassle.
