iphone stuck in activation screen

Can someone help me get out of this screen. I have a 3g 16gb iphone that i bought off of some guy the other day and I went to restore it and when I put my sim card in it said sim card not valid (I have att). Anyways I need to get out of this screen. ALso, I already tried bringing it to the apple store and they said they cant service it because it was purchased out of the country!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Well, if it's an out-of-country iPhone, then it won't work with att, as you've discovered. It's locked to the other country's carrier.

So you need to unlock it.
