iphone stuck on boot screen (apple logo)

my iphone was working just fine. it is jailbroken on 3.1.2 with blackra1n. sent a text, put the phone back in my pocket. when i took it back out it was stuck in the boot screen with the status icon stuck half full...whenever i turn off and then back on it does the same thing....itunes wont recognize the device. what can i do?

Put it in DFU mode, restore and rejailbreak.
