iPhone stuck using 4G

Is there a way to reset cell network without having to enable and disable airplane mode?

It must be from going in and out of service when on the subway here in NY, but my phone gets stuck on 4G and refuses to hop onto LTE. I got a new SIM and it still has the same issue. Enable and disabling airplane mode is frustrating, especially when listening to music with Bluetooth headphones.

Have you tried playing with cellular data options to see if one of them might do what you are looking for?
