Lucky! My phone cracked on both sides.
I can't blame the shirt pocket for keeping the bumper off the phone, though.

Does anyone have any experiences with parachute pants? In the event that it becomes "that" time, I don't want my iPhone to suddenly fall out of my pocket while busting what is considered "a move."

Just FYI, don't put it in your shirt pocket and bend over either![]()
Uh...MC Hammer didn't wear parachute pants. Michael Jackson did.
Wrong, MC Hammer wore them and I'm sorry I know this.

Wrong, MC Hammer wore what were originally known as Harem pants but later came to be known as Hammer pants. Many people have incorrectly called them parachute pants due to their appearance, but parachute pants as a fashion trend had already come and gone by the time MC Hammer was around.
Parachute pants date back to the late 70's and early '80's and were popularized by break dancers. They got their name because they were made from ripstop nylon, the same material used in parachutes. Break dancers used this material because it was durable and had low friction. I should know, because I begged and begged my parents for a pair and finally got them when they went on clearance...and nobody was wearing them any longer.![]()
When MC Hammer became popular around '88-'89 and the Harem pants came into style, I knew better than to follow such a silly trend.I remember working in the mall at the time on seeing them on sale everywhere. The funniest part was watching the really big guys wearing them all the time. Oh, and the crazy colors/designs. Cracked me up.
This post (or even the entire thread) needs to go into the official Wikipedia ® archives.
OK, maybe not; but I'm impressed with the level of detail here.

It's mind boggling how incorrect you are.
