My laptop basically died on me and im using my cousins MBP at this moment because hes visiting on vacation. I plan on getting the new iphone when it is available and syncing it to his MBP and taking his itunes library. My question is, once i get a MAC down the road, will I be able to take those itunes songs, tv shows etc. and take them from my iphone to my new mac?

Also whenever im doing a iphone software update, can I do it wirelessly or will I have to plug it to a computer?

You can take content off your phone but its not easy. Theres mac programs that can do it.

Software updates always need a wired connection.

You can use Senuti (costs) or expod (free) to get music and other media off the iPhone.

You have to be plugged into your computer to update.
