I was doing a sync to my MBP after the latest iOS update and it's taking forever to sync. I had to shut down the MPB by holding down the "power" button twice already, once yesterday and once today.

Is this something where I just need to let it do its thing or could something be corrupted? I've restored both iPhone and MBP a few times already.

Had the same issue, and found out that you have to go to Applications, then Utilities on your computer, open Activity Monitor ... in the spotlight search type in USB and you'll see a file called USBAgent ... click on it and it will open a window that has a quit button at the bottom. Hit the quit button and it will ask you to Quit, Force Quit, or Cancel ... I was told to hit force quit as it reboots USB usage ... and it fixed the issue for me. Apple has known about this for two years and haven't corrected it ... as it affects iPhones after upgrading. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I found another similar task to kill in Activity Monitor and that one did not work. I'll give this one a try.

I am able to do a backup without any issues.
