STOP using the phone!!! This is the type of stuff that people put on Ebay
and get a million dollars for! (seriously)

Can anyone on here read the Chinese symbols written on the tape on the phone? What does it say?

This is easily the most stupid post of the day and you have just wasted a lot of peoples lives. This borderlines of geekiness to the 9th degree.

Shame on all who said this is cool. you belong in a cell and no sunlight for 40 nights!!!!!

Hi, I'm barryallott and I troll on threads making comments that have absolutely no purpose. What's your name?

Anyway, that's pretty cool... Have you tried to check and see if the pictures were geotagged?

Neurotic post to the 9th degree :D

Neurotic because obviously it was interesting enough for you to click into this thread and yet you're complaining that it doesn't interest you ;)

My post isn't neurotic. It's NOT neurotic. Maybe you'd prefer a magic trick instead?

I'm guessing there's more to making iPhones then just snapping them together... ;)

Yeah, yeah :D My post was about manual labor costs.

Once the boards have parts inserted and are soldered on an automated line, then yes it's pretty much just a matter of snapping the cables and screen and case together. That's why it's assembled in China, because hand labor is dirt cheap.

ok, whoever says this thread isn't interesting needs to get themselves checked out. These pictures are "on the inside" and something that apple doesn't want you to see! I'm pretty amazed at the picture. I wish there were more. The only way to tell is ... to keep buying iPhones! I'm sure Apple won't mind.

.. and the location, thats if the geo tagging was on

While I didn't have photos from the factory, one of the first things I did when I got my iPhone was snap a photo. Just today I was playing with the Geotagging feature and looked at that first photo's location. It says I was in China, just east of Shanghai:

http://maps.google.com/?q=32.8743,1...202148&spn=14.701768,16.237793&z=6&iwloc=addr

While I don't know this for sure, it's possible this is where they tested the phone in the factory and I managed to shoot a photo before the GPS could update my location. Nothing that interesting about the photo itself, but if you want to check it out I've attached it.

Weird.

Shame on all who said this is cool. you belong in a basement and no sunlight for 40 nights!!!!!

There I fixed it for you. Now that I did, it actually describes most of the people here. :D

Also, to the people who rightfully recognized the OP's term was offensive, it cracks me up that it was quoted or included as a reference in their posts. I kept seeing it over and over and over...

Many thanks to the OP for the edit. That courtesy is not found in the rest of this thread.

Ok the guy took the picture, but did anyone wonder how he did it without activating? Does this mean that all these iphones arent acually locked until the end of the factory line?

What's wrong with using the term chinaman?

As in "learn how to drive you $&!@ing chinaman"

Perfectly acceptable.
