okay, so i want to try out tethering my jailbroken iphone 3g to my laptop.
i followed the instruction according to this youtube video:

i did up to step 3, created ad-hoc network called "iTether"

but when i went back to my iphone to setting>wifi network for step 4, i cant find it? am i supposed to? or am i missing something?

could someone help?

lets see if i can help go to ur computer click on the drop menu in ur airport networks, select create network ( enter a pass if youwish), then click advanced, select tcp/ip or w.e, click on the ipv4 drop menu and select dhcp with manual address, and enter the i.p ass 192.168.10.2 and keep the second one the same. Go to proxies and select Socks and and enter the ip 192.168.10.1 and the port 1080
Go to your iPhone search the networks connect to the network, and go to static and enter the ip 192.168.10.1 and delete the second one. and launch w.e you need to start.

BTW THIS IS WHAT I USE FOR NETSHARE TETHERING NOT YOUR WAY!
