I spoke to an AT&T salesperson at an AT&T store and asked about iPhone tethering. He said "sometime before the end of first quarter 2010." So, we should expect to have legit iPhone tethering by 4th quarter 2011!

This is off topic, but when did it become mainstream to do that ....... Thing after sentences?
 
Yawn. Let me know when they start treating tethered data as, well, data, rather than a separate fee on top of data that doesn't get passed on to another device (i.e. in-device usage). And while I'm dreaming, let's also get rid of double-dipping on SMS charges...like the rest of the world :rolleyes:
