iPhone text messages - vibrate only?

I want my phone to only vibrate when I receive text messages - no tone. However, I still want my ringer to ring when I receive a phone call. Am I missing something? Cause when I choose "none" for text message notification, it doesn't vibrate at all.

At this point, I think you would have to jailbreak to achieve that.

Honestly, this feels like something you should report as a bug.

You have 'vibrate' on and tone set to 'none' ... in my mind that should give you what you want! I suggest you report it as a "bug report," not as a feature request:

A ringtone that doesn't make noise? Just make one! I dunno...

There's an app in Cydia that allows for this. I can't remember what it was called but it was something like Silent ____

Obviously you need a jailbreak.
