iPhone texts to Android phone

I will be getting a Nexus 4 this week (on a sim only deal) and I have a couple of questions.

1. How do I get my existing text messages (and contacts) on my iPhone onto the Nexus? Is it possible? Would they be stored on the iPhone sim? The contacts are currently synced to Outlook.

2. I have the pac number to transfer to my Nexus, so that I can keep the same phone number. How do you do that?
