iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone to iPad USB-C file transfer

Is it possible to connect the 15 pro max to an iPad Pro by usb-c to transfer a large number of files (I can’t get airdrop to work)?

Try it, maybe it'll work. I think, it just charges whatever battery is smallest.
