Iphone to Iphone communication

Both my wife and I have the 4s and are going overseas in April.
Is there a way to communication between her phone and mine ( not using 3g or wifi). Maybe a special app?

No. You can't communicate without some sort of connection to a network, wifi,3G, Edge or GPRS.

I can't tell if this thread is serious or not. Bluetooth has a range of 60 feet..max.
