MacOS/iOS '26.latest' on Mac and iPhone (for context).
I've rarely used this feature. I think I once clicked it by accident, having first paired my Mac and iPhone (according to my iPhone) in November 2024, under what must have been earlier iOS/MacOS. But today I thought I'd give it a 'proper' go, having heard my phone give me a familiar FB Messenger 'sher-ting' sound from two rooms away where it's plugged in, charging, locked, but on my wifi.
So...I eagerly open the iPhone Mirroring app on my Mac...and get told to unlock my phone (EDIT which I can't seemingly do from the iPhone Mirroring app) ⁉️
Dear Mr Federighi...not that you're reading this...but have I missed something here? If I've already paired the two devices, which I have, but I still have to GO AND GET MY 🤬ING PHONE to unlock it to use mirroring, I may as well just USE MY 🤬ING PHONE. No?
Has a trillion dollar company missed this oversight? Surely not? It has to be me? Right? What have I not done?
(And sorry if I've put this in the wrong category. It's a bit hit or miss where to put things that relate to accessing my phone from my Mac. It could happily sit in either Mac or iPhone subforums.)
