i have an iphone and an ipod touch is there a way to have the iphone and ipod touch use different apps in itunes. ie there are apps i use on the ipod touch that i dont need on the iphone and the same with my iphone. now when i sync they both have the same apps. thanks for your help.
Any of the apps that rely on GPS are worthless on the iPod touch, as are any of the apps that require a microphone unless you have a compatible one of your own. All apps will work on the iPhone, unless there are apps written to take advantage of the Nike+ hardware in the 2nd gen iPod touch, and I do not believe that that is allowed.
This response in no way answered his question. Take a quick re-read... I think if you go into the apps tab in iTunes while the iPod/iPhone is plugged in, you can manually select which apps will be synced over during that session, rather than selecting "sync all apps" or whatever the option may be.
