iphone TTY compatibility

Has anyone used an iphone with a TTY, VCO or HCO device?

I was wondering how they liked using the phone with such a device. I currently use a Net10 phone with the TTY device but the phone needs at least 3 bars to transmit via HCO and I sometimes only get two bars in the area I need to use it.

What is the best phone to use with a TTY, VCO or HCO?
 
Apple sells TTY adapters. I know the physical Apple Stores have it; it should be online, as well. I don't know anything regarding using it, though.
