Try pricing a UK contract to give you half of what the US$60 tariff gives you, and see how much you'll be paying... it's looking like a £40, £50 or £60 jobbie, and i don't think the 'unlimited same-network calls' option will be available to us here. Oh the pain! oh!! Oooh!!!

from seeing how iphone is being introduced in america, i don't think apple are at all interested in following existing ways of selling mobile phones in particular the network subsidising the phone.

when it comes to the uk (presumably with 3g) i very much doubt it will be subsidised.

To any Americans reading this, yes I am afraid that even on an Apple forum, British class prejudice is alive and kicking. Though you would think that anyone unable to spell or construct a sentence would try to keep his ignorance to himself.

reason why a chav wudnt have one?
- chavs cant read. lol, its a well known fact, its why they like shuffles
- although the benefits they live off are hefty, the price tag is like 5 vans they would have to rob
- as if the speaker is guna be loud enough to walk around in public blasting poor quality undistinguishable d'n'b on, knowing apple it will be subtle but pitch perfect
- didnt you know to be a chav u have to own a sony walkman ripoff phone, its like unwritten code
- they wudnt understand how to use it! theyve only just mastered dressing themselves in pajamas, never mind a multi touch screen


im sure apple will release a chav-friendly iPhone in due time, like they did with the shuffle 1st gen, get rid of flashy features, back to basic and sell it for peanuts, the devalued iPhone would be a new icon for the chav masses that swarm around council estates in our great country. (for any americans chav essentially means w*nker lol)

the iPhone is great in every way. BUT, there's always a but with o2 hefty contract rates it dosen't look so good.
I mean what have o2 done? Theyv'e taken there £15 a month contract and put a £20 wi-fi Internet conection on top. That's just for the lowest priced rate.
For this sort of money you could buy a phone that almost does the same stuff and buy an iPod of your choice.
