Honestly I want to switch from 17P to 18P so badly only for the color. I really hate the orange… (thanks to past me being so impatient and picked the only color that was in store available). but the new changes, if we could even call it that, and the huge price increase makes it very very hard for me to justify switching only for the phone color even with trade in. Yeah I know luxury problems, don’t mind me. lol

It would be less expensive to switch to a 17P with a different color.

A lot of people like a folding phone in theory, but many will just chicken out, especially after they see how thick and how big it is.

I'm still hoping they talk about something other than the Iphone (Like Apple TV, though we've been down that road before) and IOS 27 comes soon after. I just bought a phone in June and am currently paying it off. Hopefully this gets people excited.

Been there done that dozens hundreds of times. Took me 50 years to get less fomo (or in my case gadget-greedy).
OTOH, for something that you use everyday, hours and hours, there are many worse things to spend your money on.

The price increases have robbed me of any enthusiasm. I’m also very happy with my 17.

I upgrade my Pro Max yearly, however. This time it’s a pass and keeping my 17 PM. The $300 increase and same 12GB ram left me not wanting to do it this year.

There is nothing ultra about the iPhone ultra. They should just call it a fold. It's at best the minimum folding phone spec or design you'd get from Samsung, Honor, Huawei etc or at worst a defunct format that Google and Microsoft had several years a go. An Ultra moniker should be reserved for a triple folding design with full camera array, or will they call that the Ultimate Ultra 😂
