i wonder if anybody could help. i purchased a iphone 5s on ebay which was originally from ireland but i had it sent to the uk. The person who sold it said and advertised it as unlocked, but no matter which sim ive tried i get the sim not supported message. i have done an imei status check and it said

iphone carrier/network : unlock
sim unlocked :true

why is the phone not unlocked im confused lol , the seller reset the phone before shipping, could this revert it back to its unlocked state?

The seller can reset the settings one million times, it won't make a difference. The phone has been set to work on only a specific networks bands.

It is a bitch to get around with some type of sim card physical insertion. I don't know if it is an option any more.

You got a fully functional iPod. Get some cool tunes on it and enjoy. Or complain to the seller and get your money back.
