hi everyone, the iphone 3gs unlock is supposed to come out on wednesday, my questionis if i unlock it i have been told the warrenty will be void however if i reset it and restore it through itunes will that do the trick and make it that my warrenty wont be void.

recently i had an iphone 3gs which was jailbroken not unlocked, there was cracks on the casing so i booked an appoitment with the geneius. before i went i restored it to factory settings and he didnt notice anything fishy and i got a new one.

if i do the same for an unlocked one will it be fine.

thanks

yes

i have heard that jailbreaking is risk free compared to unlocking is this true or can a unlocked iphone be completly restored and leave no traces that it was unlocked
