I purchaed 1 iPhone in late July of 2009, and I noticed that line is eligible for an iPhone upgrade at discounted pricing. My other iPhone, purchaed early August of 2009, isn't eligible for a discounted iPhone upgrade until March 2011. I am wondering why this is, because I plan on purchacing an "iPhone 4G" when it becomes avalible. Does anyone know why this is?

15 sec search of the forums would present an answer to your question...

May be related to how much you pay per line. If you pay over $100/month on one line then you get pushed earlier for a discounted pricing on that line.
