does anyone use the iPhone upgrade plan from apple?

do i have to wait a full 12 month, 365 days to upgrade the phone?

say i get mine day 1 (16th) this year for the iPhone 7,
and the next year day 1 is sept.10th, do i have to wait until 16th to upgrade or i can pre-oerder/reserver mine on day 1 (10th?)

i mean if i only get to upgrade/reserve mine on the 16th next year, the waiting might be for month on 16th.

No, you can upgrade after 6 months provided that you have made 12 payments. If, for some reason, you have made only 10 payments, just make extra 2 payments any time before the new iPhone preorder date, and you should be good to go. Remember that you're not limited as to how many payments you can make in a single month.
