I am planning on getting the iPhone X. I have been in the upgrade program for the past two phones. It bothered me that I didn't get to keep a phone after I had paid a lot of money, but I went with it because it's more convenient to me than bothering to sell it myself.
Now that the X won't come out until November, we are looking at making 2 or more payments on the current phone, which makes it a dicier proposition. At that point, you will have become closer to paying the phone off outright before turning it in and not getting anything for it.
Will apple refund money after the 12th Payment? Is anyone considering paying off their phone and then selling it themselves. Am I the only one concerned with this?

I am concerned about this too. The value proposition doesn’t work if I get to pay 2,3,4 more payments and then Apple lets me trade that in. I know they said nov. 4 but really for most of us it will be much later which means even more extra payments.

And think about what happens next year. I doubt the IPhone Xs is going to be delayed like this one. So next year we also get to make more payment (to get it to 12) when we try to buy it in September.
