With the changes to the iUP/apple card requiring a postpaid account in the big 4 carriers is the following scenario plausible?

Left T-Mobile after moving and moved my personal line to a MVNO but have a FirstNet line as my primary data source (two lines one phone)

Current phone is on iUP but carrier is FirstNet (considered a “premier” ATT line that doesn’t qualify for iUP verification)
Can I add a line to a family members ATT account for a month and use that new number to “verify” my account for this next cycle?

I’m curious about this as well, although I’m pretty sure that you have to be on one of the big three carriers in order to be on IUP (I could be totally wrong though).

I’m on Apple Card monthly payments for my 14 Pro, but Apple recently did away with financing the SIM free model. I’m on T-Mobile, but have been considering moving my wife and I to a MVNO. But with IUP and Apple Card monthly payments not supporting SIM free models, the only other option is just purchasing the phone outright.

That’s exactly what we did. I’m reasonably sure it will work and Apple is just using the carriers for service verification during the checkout process. I’m assuming you can enter a valid line from the big 3 and confirm the account holders last 4 of SSN and it go thru
