Got the new IP7+ last weekend at the local Apple store via IUP, but I'm having horrible battery life on this phone. It's constantly draining battery even sitting at idle. I've tried turning off all background refreshes and location services but still the same result. Instead of getting an additional hour of battery over IP6S+ like Apple advertises, I'm getting about 30-40% LESS battery life than my previous IP6S+. I'm thinking it's a hardware issue and would like to just return and re-buy instead of going through Genius Bar and getting the phone replaced. Has anyone done this before? After return the phone in store, does Apple allow immediately sign up a new IUP? Thanks and appreciated if anyone can share their experience dealing with IUP.

Why? All white box replacement iPhone 7/7 Plus are brand new (rather than remanufactured) at this point.
Once exchange the phone can't be returned any more. I would like to keep the option open in case the battery really is worse than ip6s + then I'll just go back to my old phone.

Yep! Returned mine to get black instead of silver. The return canceled the IUP and I immediately re-applied. Everything went fine. Now I just have to wait for my phone to come :(

CitizensOne will keep your latest credit inquiry for 30 days before it requires another credit check. That way if you do need to do a replacement, it doesn't impact your credit score.

This is good to know. I just returned mine yesterday and repurchased. I wasn't sure if they ran my credit again.

This is good to hear. By any chance is this in their FAQ somewhere or based on your experience? Thanks.
