Hi,

I'm currently on apple's iPhone upgrade program and am on the 12th payment preparing to do my upgrade. On the website I now see they offer apple card installment payments. I assume this is a different program from the iPhone upgrade program and would involve another credit pull for apples credit card in addition to the upgrade credit pull I assume I'll have. Does this offer the same upgrade after the 12th payment option? Thanks

I’ll let others confirms but I’m almost positive that the Apple credit card merely allows you to spread the purchase of a phone over 24 months at 0% interest. It does not afford you the right to upgrade every year after half of the phone has been paid off, like the iPhone Upgrade Program. I suspect Apple will keep this distinction as you’re paying for AppleCare + through the iPhone Upgrade Program and that boosts their profit margin.

Correct.

With the Upgrade Programme, you pay for AC+ too and can get a new model every year

The Apple Card installments merely let you spread the cost of the phone, without AC+ over 24 months, interest free. No upgrade after 12 months unless you pay off the outstanding balance, in full, first.
