Note that he has an iPhone 8. Seems to be a common thread among the X haters. Somehow they feel the need to trash the X to feel better about their purchase.

from someone i spoke to on the forum. Once you add the phone to your cart it gives you a shipping date, but then it may take an hour to be approved for the loan, but otherwise the shipping you get confirmed when you check out should stay the same. I honestly think it depends on how good your credit is and etc.
I would like to know more to on how long the application is and what info is needed.
The application is just like any credit card really. They ask for income, social, address, and things like that. I'm hoping they'll do like the 8 and have it to where you can get "pre-approved" to speed up the process. My wife doesn't have any credit really yet and she was approved for the iUP for her 8 we got last weekend (which is honestly a really nice phone, but I need the latest and greatest X!!
).We should know as soon as we order when our shipping date will be - or actually before we order.. it usually shows on the ordering page what the shipping time is before you order it. See my AirPod example.

It's not shocking that 8/8P owners hate the X probably because they know it's better but they caved and got an 8/8P instead instead of being patient. Not all owners but a majority on here.
Also the 8 or 8+ owners usually do not want spend extra money for iPhone X or are not able to afford iPhone X and sound their frustration by blasting their hatred to any forums discussing iphone X. It is so petty and sad.

The "pre-approval" is only for upgraders in the iPhone Upgrade Program. There is no pre-approval process for first-time customers. I did the iUP for my iPhone 8 Plus purchase as a new customer and I was approval immediately during the checkout process, as far as I could tell. So it shouldn't take too long to do it when the iPhone X pre-orders go live, providing the servers don't crash. It takes very little time to enter your info for the credit check, but every second will count when the X pre-orders go live. Somehow I don't think it's going to be nearly as smooth as the 8 was last month.
Are you implying that iPhone 8 or 8 Plus for those who like them isn't a good thing?

The same thing happened when the 4.7" and 5.5" screens came out on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It was Apple versus Android all over again. Internet anonymity encourages stupid behavior.
Nope just noticing that of the group who seem to have it out for the X, a large majority seem to have an 8. I think the 8 Is a great phone, I don’t feel any need to knock it. I just wonder why they feel the need to knock the X. Why can’t they accept that just as the 8 is the right phone for them, the X is the right phone for some of us.

Question. I went through the process but didn't enter my info yet. My question once you enter your info does it final the purchase or does it see if you can get the loan? I want to just see if I get approved then buy the phone later. Can this be done?
