I got that email yesterday, was thinking about how I might get $5 in a couple years out of this… not worth my time
And, exactly what might these people do with your information? I don't trust them. They are already creepy enought to even bring a stupid case like this to begin with.

well, they have part of your info already, otherwise you'd not receive an email, and then probably the address from back then ... but yea, agree with you

These lawsuits only make the lawyers rich, the people affected by the issues get peanuts.

For a nickel and dime lawsuit like an accidental Siri activation maybe so but some class action lawsuit actually help the end user immensely.

In the mid '90's I owned a home plumbed in polybutylene waterlines and fittings which turned out to be a major fail for millions of homeowners. Since I had already had 2 leaks I qualified for the class action lawsuit for affected homeowners.

As a remedy I was able to have a plumbing company come in and rip out all the plumbing in the house and replace it with copper. Then the drywallers and painters came in and made everything look like new. In addition I was reimbursed fully for the repairs and damages I had sustained in the original 2 leaks. Although the entire process sucked, at least it didn't cost me a dime and I ended up with totally replumbed home.

Yep, and that's how Apple continues to become a trillion dollar company...do yourself a favour and fill it in. If everyone takes your road, Apple sits back on its 95 million!

Last month I was talking to my son in the living room and then a solid 30 seconds later I picked up my Apple TV remote off the coffee table and pressed the voice search button and the search box started autofilling the last sentence I said to my son. I think they still have some serious issues to work out. I didn’t even know the remote listens before you press the button.

I tried to submit a claim but how on earth am I supposed to have a record of the serial number for my iPhone 5 that I was using during that time period?!
You can use the Apple store app (or web), click on your icon to see your account, and then show your devices. If you then click "See invoice" it shows the serial number.

I've got my 20+ devices. Looking forward to at least $2 out of this deal. 🤣

FWIW I received $325 from the MacBook Pro butterfly keyboard as well as a free upgrade from Intel to an M1.

I know people joke about only getting $0.02 but realize if everyone thinks that way, that means less people are applying.

I can easily do this, all of our HomePod Minis have activated on accident at least once, and we have 4. Add in one of the iPhones or Apple Watches that have done the same, and I'm easily beyond the 5 device limit. Not sure I'll bother, though, since the most I would get is $100 and I do think this is overblown and a nonissue.
