Well with the unlocking for example, I have a N75 I bought when I switched to ATT a few months back. I figured I would take advantage of getting an unlock. I called them and first they said I couldn't do it right away, you need a good standing account for 90 days. Ok. Called back later, you need to fax some things in. Did that, boom unlock code in my email.
Now, I know there was legislation recently. I will need to look into it again. I am pretty sure they are required say, after their 90 days probation period. (read: make sure you want to stick with them and not steal their phone I guess).
