Thinking of picking up my first iPhone. Is there anywhere I can go to find out about all the different versions/variants of the iPhone that were/are available either as new or used models?

Wikipedia and Apple.com are your best bets.

Keep in mind the only iPhone's currently being sold in stores are the 4S, 5c and 5s.

Used, you don't want to go back further than the 4S and older devices have a hard time running the newest software, plus they're just very dated technology.

Wikipedia has a pretty good page on the iPhone.

Do you have any specific concerns or functionality you're looking for?
