I have an iPhone with 2.1 unlocked with the PwnTool. For some reason when I get a new voicemail it does not notify me immediately, but a couple hours later. Also, when I delete it the notification red circle stays there (as if I had a new one) for about two or three days. This has been a problem since I have firmware 1.0.. How can I solve this?? Is someone else having this same problem?

Thanks.

Two words: re store!

Anyone else with this same issue? someone able to solve it?

Happened to me this morning. I'm running 2.1 (installed via full no-backup restore) and I'm not jailbroken. As luck would have it, I received a voicemail from my alarm monitoring company. Apparently, they called around 9:30 this morning because of some problem at my house. I got the voicemail notification around 10:45. I have no idea why my phone never rang at 9:30 nor do I understand why it took so long to get the message.

I won't be surprised if the alarm company sent someone to my house to check things out, so I'll probably get dinged with a false alarm penalty.

It is not the iphone problem. Check your sim card with other phone. I think the new voicemail notification icon is with your sim card.

Missed Voicemails

I had an iPhone 3G, recently upgraded to the iPhone 4.

While I was setting up the visual voicemail on my iPhone 4, I noticed I had 42 unheard voicemail messages. I had never received them when I had my iPhone 3G. I listened to them all, and I am furious that I never received notification of them. Some voicemails were a year and a half old. I had a lot of important voicemails in there too. Some for job interviews that I thought I'd never heard back from. It turns out I had been offered this job that I really wanted, and they left two voicemail messages asking me to accept the job offer, but I never received the voicemail, and therefore figured I didn't get the job.

Well that was like 4 months ago and I've already taken another job, but it's very frustrating.

False Message Waiting Indicator MWI

Iphone I have found that both 3 and 4, with different OS versions have problems with the MWI. (Message Waiting Indicator).
The problem arises when you turn the mobile phone and back on, sometimes to the flat light Indications of message waiting lights, but there is no message on voicemail.
How MWI works internally?
The mobile phones CAN Set or Clear Message Waiting Indicator via a hidden SMS. That MWI put on is sent from the voicemail platform when you receive a new message. When you enter to the voicemail box, the platform Clear MWI sends another message type SMS.

Iphones have something happens when you turn that makes this flat is on.

Someone has already found more information about this software problem?
