iphone volume buttons whilst playing music

hi

im hoping someone will be able to help me out with this or its so easy ive missed a simple trick!

when the iphone is in standby none of the buttons work until you unlock it, which is great and prevents accidental keystrokes.

when i have music playing the volume keys still work when the screen is locked. i can see how this would be useful for quick adjustment of the volume but i find that i catch the volume buttons all the time just in my pocket or taking it out of my pocket.

i was wondering if there is a quick solution for locking these keys?
