Just thought I would share with you my new iPhone 4 that was squashed by a black cab.

I basically lost the phone on a night out, and it was returned to me by a taxi driver who said he ran over it by accident...

Don't worry you can replace the back panel really easily...

Tough luck mate... how exactly, may I ask, did it happen?

W0W! Lol. Well, you can sell you bumper for around $50 on eBay to make up some cash.

My dad's a TV repairman...I can fix it!

Bonus points for anyone who gets that reference. :p

Hope you have accidental damage cover, just a thought but you might be able to claim for it against your property insurance. Mine offers up to £500 on gadgets accidently damaged even if not in the home, always worth a try :)

Failing that, sell it as "faulty" on eBay, your sure to still get a few £100 for it.

Aye we are going to look into getting a claim sorted through the home insurance.

The phone still works fine, which I guess is a plus. I took it to work today and it's lost a hell of a lot more glass since I took this picture. I have an appointment at the Apple Store to see how much a repair or replacement will set me back.

It's harsh that I sit next to somebody with a beautiful brand new iPhone 4, and mine is now like this..

Tell them at the apple store that you dropped it and it bounced down several stairs before coming to a stop, you might just get lucky and have them replace it as a :goodwill" gesture :D

Actually, just tell them you left it on your night stand last night and, when you woke up, it was like that! You babied it! :p

It'd be funny to see how they react.

It's just a flesh wound!

Really sorry to hear about, and see, your phone's damage. I hope your insurance claim works out.
